World War II, WW2, Pan American Airways, Censor Postal History

Attractive franking on airmail cover posted at  Baghdad Dec 3, 1940 addressed to Chicago, IL USA endorsed upper left .... Via PAN AMERICAN TRANSPACIFIC AIR SERVICE.........

The most probable route was as follows:
1.) from Baghdad to Singapore by BOAC Horseshoe Route.....censored in Singapore, A 24 in small circles applied at Singapore...;
2.) from Singapore to Hong Kong probably by surface ship;
3.) from Hong Kong to San Francisco by Pan American Airways FAM 14 Pacific Clipper service;
4.) from San Francisco to Chicago, IL by USA domestic airlines.

....a very nice and scarce item of World War II airmail Postal History .....Fine to Very Fine condition.

SHIPPING CHARGES: 1st class airmail Shipping to the USA is $2.00. Canada and Mexico - $2.50. All other locations - $3.25. Items sent without Insurance are at Buyer's Risk. Insurance is required on all shipments of $100.00 and up in the USA. Registered Mail costs $13.00 and is required on all shipments over $150.00 to foriegn destinations.
